We’re delighted to have been featured by Security Journal UK following the announcement of Copeland Group Services’ six figure investment in an AI enabled operating platform designed to support the future of security operations.
The feature highlights our continued investment in innovation through TrakNet Technologies, a platform developed to help bring together operational information, improve visibility and support the delivery of modern security services.

While the Security Journal article introduces the investment and the technology behind it, we wanted to take the opportunity to explain why we made this investment, what it means for our clients and how it reflects our wider approach to delivering security.
Why we chose to invest
The security industry has evolved significantly over the last decade.
Clients rightly expect more than simply knowing someone is protecting their premises. They want visibility, accountability, clear communication and confidence that their security partner continues to invest in better ways of delivering its services.
At the same time, the day to day management of security has become increasingly complex. Businesses often require multiple services working together, from manned guarding and CCTV through to keyholding, access control and mobile patrols. Supporting those services efficiently requires operational systems that are just as capable as the people delivering them.
Rather than adapting an off the shelf solution, Copeland chose to invest in developing its own platform through TrakNet Technologies. This gives us the flexibility to continue evolving the platform around our operational requirements and, more importantly, around the needs of our clients.
The objective has never been to replace people.
It has always been to give them better information, greater visibility and the tools to continue delivering exceptional security services.
Building technology around the way security actually works
TrakNet Technologies has been developed specifically for the operational challenges faced by modern security providers.
Its purpose is to bring operational information together into one platform, helping support the management of security services while providing greater visibility for both operational teams and clients.
Rather than relying on multiple disconnected systems, the platform has been designed to support a more joined up approach to managing security operations.
For clients, this means greater transparency into the services they receive.
For Copeland, it provides a platform that can continue developing alongside both the business and the wider security industry.
Introducing T.A.L.I.U.M.
At the heart of the platform is T.A.L.I.U.M., the Tactical, Adaptive, Logical, Intelligent, Unified Manager.
More than simply an AI feature, T.A.L.I.U.M. has been developed as an intelligent operational assistant that supports the people responsible for delivering security every day.
Its role is to help operational teams work more efficiently by supporting access to information and assisting day to day decision making across the TrakNet platform.
Importantly, this has never been about replacing people.
Artificial intelligence is often presented as an alternative to human expertise. At Copeland Group Services, we believe the opposite. Security remains a people focused industry where experience, judgement and professionalism are essential.
T.A.L.I.U.M. has been designed to support those people, helping them spend less time managing operational information and more time focusing on protecting clients, supporting colleagues and delivering exceptional service.
That philosophy reflects the wider vision behind TrakNet Technologies, where technology is designed to enhance human capability rather than replace it.
One platform supporting a modern security business
Security today rarely consists of a single service.
A construction site may require temporary CCTV alongside access control and mobile patrols. A commercial office may benefit from professional lock and unlock services together with keyholding and alarm response. Industrial facilities often combine several different security measures to create an appropriate level of protection.
Managing those services effectively requires operational systems capable of supporting a modern security business.
That is the role TrakNet Technologies has been developed to fulfil.
Rather than viewing individual services in isolation, the platform has been designed to support a connected approach to security operations that continues to evolve alongside both our clients and our business.
Supporting the Virtual Guard philosophy
The development of TrakNet Technologies also complements Copeland’s wider Virtual Guard approach.
Virtual Guard brings together permanent CCTV, EcoWatch Rapid Deployment CCTV and intelligent access control solutions to provide organisations with greater visibility across their sites.
TrakNet supports that wider vision by providing an operational platform that complements these technologies and contributes towards a more connected approach to delivering security services.
Together, they reflect a broader change within the industry.
Clients increasingly expect security providers to combine experienced people with intelligent technology to deliver greater visibility, stronger accountability and improved operational confidence.
Innovation with a purpose
Technology should never exist simply because it is available.
It should solve genuine operational challenges and improve the service clients receive.
Every investment Copeland makes is driven by a simple question.
How does this improve the experience for our clients?
Whether that means improving operational visibility, supporting our teams or continuing to develop smarter ways of managing security services, innovation should always deliver practical value rather than simply introducing new technology.
That philosophy continues to shape the way we invest in both people and technology.
Looking ahead
Being recognised by Security Journal UK is an important milestone for everyone involved in developing TrakNet Technologies.
More importantly, it reflects Copeland Group Services’ continued commitment to investing in the future of security.
We believe the future of the industry lies in combining experienced professionals with intelligent technology, allowing each to complement the other while continuing to improve the quality of service delivered to our clients.
Whether that’s through Virtual Guard, manned guarding, mobile patrols, professional lock and unlock services, keyholding and alarm response, access control, EcoWatch Rapid Deployment CCTV or innovative platforms such as TrakNet Technologies, every service contributes towards creating a more connected, resilient and effective security strategy.
If you’d like to learn more about TrakNet Technologies or discuss how Copeland Group Services can support your organisation, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
